January was a month of seconditus and what might have been for the Saville House team, returning 1 winner, 9 second places, 3 third places and a fourth place from the 23 runners we sent out.
Arguably, 3 of the placed horses should perhaps have been winners which would have given us the perfect start to 2012.
Nevertheless, the horses have all been running well which is reinforced by the results so far.
Hurricane Hymnbook and Broughton Sands both finished second on two occasions whilst Bold Adventure managed the same feat with the added bonus of a fourth place.
Broughtons Paradis, who has been a wonderful servant for us over the last year ran two more solid races to place second and third.
And then we come to MARAJAA, who seems to be in the form of his life at the grand age of 10 years. Following his easy win in December at Kempton, he doubled up at Lingfield in good fashion in the first week of January before going on to place second and third later in the month.
Hopefully the yard will remain in the same sort of form in February, but with a couple more winners !!
The Willie Musson Racing Club has launched and MARAJAA will be the first runner for the club. It costs less than a pound a day to join the club and we hope to provide plenty of fun for all concerned. Click here for more details.
